Our Story Began in January of 2018...
…at Grand Canyon University, where they crossed paths on a dating app. Nervous but excited, they met on campus, and Nathan couldn’t help but share a high school Spanish project with Wendy—it broke the ice perfectly.
As their connection deepened over late-night talks and shared laughs, Nathan knew he wanted to propose. The “plan” was for a romantic sunset at Dobbins Lookout, but Wendy playfully teased him when there was no proposal in sight. So, they headed to Novel, their favorite ice cream spot in Phoenix, where the real surprise awaited her—an ice cream container, bearing the question “Wendy, will you marry me?” and Nathan with a ring in hand.
Despite facing long-distance from 2019 to 2021, they stayed strong, sending care packages and counting down the days until they could be together again. When Wendy finally moved in, their journey truly began. Now, they’re excited for the future and can’t wait to celebrate with their loved ones. Their story is filled with laughter, love, and a few unexpected twists, but through it all, they’re grateful to share it together.

Option C: Vegetarian Pasta with Artichokes, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, and Pinenuts in a Pesto Cream Sauce.

Directions and Information
Our ceremony will take place at the Sedona Loop Trail located in West Sedona.
Parking will be next to the West Sedona Community Pool and Disc Golf Course, which can be accessed by turning in from Solders Pass Rd. onto Carruth Dr. and then turning right onto Posse Ground Rd.
Follow that road to where it will end in a cul-de-sac, which is where parking will be.
- We kindly ask guests to refrain from using their cell phones during our ceremony.
- All guests are asked to arrive at the ceremony site by 4:30pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:40pm.
- We strongly advise against women from wearing heels due to the nature of the ceremony location.

Our reception will be at the Sedona Elk’s Lodge beginning at 6:30pm. A Cocktail Hour will begin at 5:30pm after the ceremony for guests to relax and take in the Arizona sunset.
There will be two drink vouchers per guest during this time. Any additional alcoholic drinks may be purchased from the bar for $5/each.
Each entrée will be served with fresh baked rolls and caesar salad.

A Welcome Lunch will be served on Friday, October 11 at 12:00pm at Sound Bites Grill. Every guest is welcome to this event, where they will be able to meet one another and enjoy a meal, all with an incredible view of the Red Rocks.

Dress Code
We want everyone to feel comfortable and embrace the relaxed yet stylish atmosphere. As we’ll be outdoors, we strongly recommend wearing comfortable shoes with no heel to navigate the scenic surroundings effortlessly.
For men, a suit, dress shirt, or a nice shirt paired with slacks or khakis is fitting for the occasion.
Women are encouraged to embrace a boho-chic style, opting for sundresses, blouses, or skirts that capture the laid-back elegance of the Sedona landscape.
We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the joy of our union.
Lodging in Sedona
We suggest staying towards West Sedona to avoid the heavy autumn crowds and traffic in the area.
Cottonwood, AZ also provides lots of lodging options and is about 20 minutes southwest of Sedona.
